Bajhang Around 350 flood affected families in Ward no. 3 of Tikapur Municipality, Kailali have received ration support through Volunteer Corps Nepal with the financial support of Sowers Action, Hong Kong, China. The support included a packet of rice (25 Kg), 2 kg of daal, 1 kg of salt and a liter of cooking oil per families.
Along with the food items; 100 tarpaulins, 100 water filters, 100 blankets and 200 sets of hygiene kits were also provided to the most flood affected families. The support was provided under an initiation of President Mr. Deepak Chapagain and Vice- President Mrs. Radha Matangi, of Volunteer Corps Nepal. The whole process was carried out in coordination with Armed Police Force, Ward Chairperson Mr. Ram Sewak Mahato, Dr. Rana Bahadur Rawol, SSP- Raj Kumar Lamichhane and other ward members.
Local Volunteers and community representatives lent their hands during the relief distribution. Through the financial support of Sowers Action, Hong Kong, China, Volunteer Corps Nepal (VCN) have been actively involved in providing support to disaster and emergency affected areas of Nepal.
