Bhakta B B has started an initiative to manage loose cows

Dhangadhi: Initiatives have been started for the management of cows at various places within the Mahendra Highway. Bhakta BB for Humanity, a social organization that has been doing various social services at the national and international level, has started work for the management of stray cows.

The city chiefs of the highway area, who were disturbed by the loose cows, gathered on Friday at the community cow ashram in Katarnia, Barbardiya Municipality of Bardiya, neighboring district of Kailali, to find a way to protect the loose cows.

In the meeting organized jointly by Basaha warda Gau Sewa Ashram and Bhakta BB for Humanity, Dhangadhi Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City of Kailali, Bhimdatta of Kanchanpur, Mayor and representatives of the highway area, representatives of various municipalities of Bardiya, administrative heads working in the municipality, director of Animal Services Directorate of the provincial ministry of sudurpaschim, and former minister Ramesh Lekhak also participated. Gopal Hamal, the mayor of Dhangadhi, said, 'cow protection will not be possible without the adoption and ownership of the community.'

 

A cowshed has been established in Katarnia under the leadership of Yogi Pitambar for about a year. After Yogi Pitambar discussed the religious and scientific importance of cow protection to the local people who were disturbed by the loose cows, the local people became strict about cow and loose cow protection.

All the work is done by the community in the ashram where more than 250 cows are protected. Community forest has been managed for grazing. After knowing the religious and scientific importance of cow, the community became aware. The representative of the ashram said that Barbardia Municipality has also supported in the operation of the ashram by starting the construction of infrastructure.

Yogi Pitambar gave a lecture to the participants in the ashram on the importance of cow. Yogi Pitambar said, "The religious importance of cow protection in the scriptures is getting its place, in today's era, it is possible to earn money only by commercializing the products produced by cows."

Raj Bahadur Chand, the representative of Bhakta BB for Humanity, the organizer of the meeting, also said that Bhakta BB is ready to facilitate the establishment of cow conservation centers at the local level.
