Dhangadhi. Environmental activist Samuyal, was honored with the award by Vice President Ramsahay Yadav at the South Asian Climate Action Conference organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and co-organized by the Youth Development Center and the National Youth Council in Kathmandu on 20 June 2023.
In the conference 69 delegates from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka and 24 delegates from Nepal who participated in the conference. Among the participants, 20 people including Samuyal Neupane received the award.
Samuyal was honored with the award for leading the campaign to make Dhangadhi clean, clean and green through the Green Clean Dhangadhi campaign for a long time. He has been working continuously for the past 9 years to protect the environment and increase public awareness in Dhangadhi.
He is the director of Green Clean Dhangadhi, he has launched tree planting, sanitation, community awareness and especially one school eco club campaign. The club is currently operating in 17 different schools of Dhangadhi. Who has been doing various things to protect the environment around him. For this purpose, Samuyal has been organizing a country-wide 'Dhangadhi Speech Competition' with the aim of raising public awareness about the environment.
Competitors from all over Nepal are participating to spread public awareness about the environment at the national level. Under his leadership, Green Clean Dhangadhi has prepared more than 1500 environment volunteers in this area alone.
